Морфологічний аспект ветеринарної термінології у контексті навчання англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням

Анотація

У статті розглядається морфологічний аспект ветеринарної термінології у контексті навчання англійської мови за професійним спрямуванням. Метою дослідження є вивчення морфологічних особливостей термінології ветеринарної медицини, розгляд найбільш продуктивних способів утворення англійських ветеринарних термінів на основі аналізу їх структури, складових частин, розгляду їх значень і пояснення правил перекладу. Продемонстровано найпоширеніші способи утворення англійських термінів у сфері ветеринарії: словоскладання та афіксація. Наведено приклади словоскладання, при якому складові такого іменника безпосередньо примикають один до одного: bumblefoot (короста ніг), heartstroke (серцевий удар); lockjaw (спазм жуйних м'язів), cowpox (коров'яча віспа); monkeypox (віспа мавп), chickenpox (куряча віспа) або з'єднуються за допомогою сполучних елементів -i- та -o-, наприклад: kernicterus (білірубінова енцефалопатія); myxomatosis (міксоматоз). Визначено, що процес афіксації в термінології дуже активний. За допомогою префіксів та напівпрефіксів (anti-, en-, ante-, pro-, ad-, de-, hyper-, hypo-, post-, meta-, con-, de- (des-), dis-, epi-, extra-, inter-, intra-, per-, re-, sub-, super-, supra-, trans-, ultra-, mono-, oligo-) утворюється велика кількість похідних ветеринарних термінів. При суфіксальному способі найчастіше вживаними є суфікси-algia, -cele, -ectomy, -emia ,-itis, -oma, -osis, stomy, -tomy, -centesis, -gram, -graph, -graphy, -lysis, -scope, -scopy, -therapy, -algia, -dynia, malacia, -megaly, -pathy, -sclerosis. Доведено необхідність детального вивчення словотворення ветеринарної термінології для її засвоєння і перекладу
