MD - structures with explanatory-causal relations in Latin, in which the main explanatory relation coincides with the causal type of relations have been analyzed. It has been substantiated that these structures are characterized by the most specific semantic-syntactic connection between modus and dictum, as they combine two situations of reality by explanatory-causal relations. Conjunctions quod, quia, quoniam, сum (quum) are the expressions of these relations, and they can be correlated with the correlates propterea, ideo, idcirco, ob eam causam. It has been revealed that dictum causal part within MD - structures with explanatory-causal relations informs about such action (such state, process), which is a background for other action (other state, process) realization expressed in modus or main part of MD - structure. It has been defined that the semantics of substantiation of explanatorycausal relations between modus and dictum parts in MD - structures with undifferentiated connection arises due to their informative content correlation, which is formed on the basis of compatibility of what is motivated and by which is motivated
