У сучасних граматиках слов'янських мов синтаксично нечленовані словосполучення не виділяються в окремий тип, а представлені в єдиному списку різних типів синтаксично вільних словосполучень. Сьогодні актуальним є усвідомлення місця синтаксично нечленованих словосполучень у граматичній системі мови. Мета статті — охарактеризувати основи граматичної валентності синтаксично нечленованого словосполучення як нового типу синтаксичних конструкцій. Нові підходи до аналізу структурної організації синтаксичних одиниць в граматиці української мови поч. ХХІ ст. сприяли поглибленню теорії словосполучень (праці І. Вихованця, А. Загнітка, М. Балко, Н. Костусяк, Н. Кобченко, О. Холодьон, Р. Назарчук, Л. Шитик, В. Барчука та ін.), зокрема синтаксично нечленованих словосполучень. Синтаксична зв’язаність і синтаксична неподільність лежать в основі синтаксично нечленованих словосполучень. Граматична валентність стрижневого компонента в синтаксично нечленованих словосполученнях визначається сукупністю таких ознак, як: частиномовна належність стрижневого компонента, його категорійне значення; категорійні ознаки основного компонента. Проаналізовано синсемантичність стрижневого компонента з огляду на ономасіологічні характеристики слів різної частиномовної належності Перспективи дослідження вбачаємо у вивченні синтаксично нечленованого словосполучення в прагматичному аспекті
