Professionally-oriented english training of future specialists’ aviation industry with information and communication technologies

Abstract

It was indicated that the development of society is characterized with the strong influence of information and communication technologies, which penetrates into all spheres of human activity, ensures the spread of information flows in society and forms a global information space. Computerization of education is an integral and important part of these processes. It is accompanied by significant changes in pedagogical theory and practice of the educational process, associated with adjustments to the content of learning technologies, which must be adequate to modern technical capabilities and promote harmonious entry of students into the information society. Purpose. Computer technology is designed to become an integral part of a holistic educational process, to significantly increase its efficiency. The level of computerization together with the staffing and methodological support of the educational process is a crucial indicator of assessing the capacity of higher education institutions. Results. The effectiveness of the use of new information technologies in the classroom is due to the following factors: a variety of forms of information presentation; high degree of clarity; ability to simulate various objects and processes with the help of a computer; exemption from routine work, which distracts from the assimilation of the main content; the possibility of organizing collective and individual research work; the ability to differentiate the work of students depending on the level of training, cognitive interests, etc., using modern information technology; the ability to organize computer operational control and assistance from the teacher; computer capabilities allow the student to actively participate in the learning process. The concept of «information and communication technologies» integrates the semantics of the term «communication» and involves the process of communication, exchange of thoughts, knowledge, feelings, patterns of behavior, and joint activities of communication participants, during which a common view , events and environment
