Intoduction.In linguistics the semantic classes of predicates are singled out. Nowadays, the studies of their speech-forming features have led to a tremendous interest. The least investigated issue is the semantic and syntactic structures of sentences with predicates of quantity. In the context of a functional and multidimensional analysis of part of speech consituents, a comprehensive study of the components of the numeral in Latin is topical and relevant. The purpose of the article is to consider the features of the semantic types of predicates of quantity in the part of speech structure of the Latin language. Results. Latin numerals are divided into the following categories: quantitative (numeralia cardinalia) ordinal (numeralia ordinalia) distributive (numeralia distributiva) adverbs (numeralia adverbia).The data of the research represent a semantic variety of predicates of quantity in Latin. A specialized means of expressing predicates of quantity in Latin is numerals. This is an independent semantic type of predicates, which determines the quantitative characteristics of animate and inanimate objects. It is characterized by specific morphological features. The way of expressing quantitative characteristics differs them from the other predicates. Latin predicates of quantity deal with the quantitative characteristics of animate or inanimate objects through the specialized means of expression, numerals. Predicates of quantity are classified into basic and peripheral semantic types; predicates of definite and indefinite quantity, predicates of approximate quantity, predicates of distribution quantity, predicates of quantity-relation, and predicates of a dynamically-quantitative specifics.
